It is not possible for the O&M provider to be physically present at the site 24*7 or even have a system on hand due to various reasons. However, getting key updates of your assets present on the solar PV site based on the generation and efficiency based parameters is necessary to track the output of the plant. Want to know if an inverter alarm got triggered at the site? Or how much daily energy did Inverter X generate? Being able to remotely monitor PV systems is important to reducing time and costs associated with site visits.

Demand for notifications in solar PV systems is being driven by the need to:

  • Reduce costs associated with remote site visits.
  • Receive quick notification and act to eliminate power interruptions at a site.
  • Facilitate troubleshooting

Advanced remote monitoring allows for viewing or downloading internally logged data of daily values (charge Ahs, Load Ahs, Max. Battery Voltage, Min Battery Voltage) and events (Minutes in Absorption, Float and Equalize, Faults and Alarms). The historic daily values provide much-needed information about how the system has been performing. Getting periodic notifications regarding these important parameters can save time and effort in identifying the problem present.

TrackSo’s notification feature allows you to get 2 kinds of notifications: Periodic and Alarms based. They will be explained in detail below-

(A). Alarms based: Alarms section is a feature of Trackso platform, wherein a user can collectively witness the faults, anomaly occurring at the site level that can hamper the production of solar output. The alarm codes generated by the units/inverters are picked and interpreted efficiently by the Trackso platform for extensive user experience. The 2 kinds of alarms that you can receive through notifications are

  1. Inverter alarms- they correspond to an actual event happening at the site, eg. For example, alarm code 01 of a particular inverter will correspond to grid overvoltage at the site.

  2. Customized alarms –  They are the alarms wherein logs can be viewed when a certain predefined ’alarm’ has been triggered. A customized alarm is defined as a user-defined condition that is imposed on a parameter. For example, a ‘customized Alarm’ is created on let’s say ‘Performance ratio goes below 50’ parameter, the alarm states that when the value is less than 50 then trigger the alarm.

This combined with our notifications feature lets the user get customized notifications of these fault alarms on a periodic basis through alarms or SMS.

(B.) Periodic notifications– periodic notification feature allows you to get a daily update of a selected parameter, for eg. daily energy produced by a site. You choose from a variety of templates such as-

  • 1 Site – Site Level: In this notification a single notification is generated, giving the cumulative details of the site. (site level)
  • 1 Site – Inverters: In this notification generation of all the Inverters are stated individually.
  • Multiple Site – Site Level: In this notification, the user will get a cumulative generation of all the sites individually.
  • Multiple Sites – Inverters: In this notification, the user will get a cumulative generation of all the inverters individually of all the sites.

Features and advantages of TrackSo’s notification feature are-

-Create single email notification for all your sites

-Create email notification of any parameter of your choice like Performance ratio, Daily energy etc.

-Choose the different template of notifications. eg. site notification, inverter notifications etc.

-Get alerts through e-mail or SMS

-Get inverter alarm, data logger alarm and customized alarm notification

The crisp and accurate information provided by the Notifications feature helps you solve issues and get information remotely.
