Why Choose Trackso’s solar DG synchronization controller?
The DG Synchronization Controller also known as a Zero Export Device, is designed to protect diesel generators (DG) from excess power generated by PV plants. This device allows solar system owners and operators to limit the amount of solar power their systems export to the DG.
The DG-PV controller controls the energy output of on-grid solar inverters by adjusting the set point of the grid-tie inverters. It features an inbuilt power analyzer that measures the total power at the point where the DG is electrically coupled with the load, comparing it with the controller’s set point. When the load on the DG exceeds this set point, the DG-PV controller increases the solar power output.
If the load on the DG is below the set point, the controller reduces the solar power output accordingly. Running a generator at less than 30% of its rated capacity can have negative consequences. The DG-PV controller ensures that the DG operates at a load of at least 30%.
Benefits:-
● Ensures minimum DG utilization and maximum solar output.
● Saves cost by providing monitoring & synchronization through the same device.
● Compatible with 100+ inverter brands.
● Prevents reverse feed into the DG.
Why Choose Trackso’s solar DG synchronization controller?
Step 1 – Device take readings from the reference DG meter
Step 2 – If DG Power> Max (kw), command inverters to increase power production
Step 3 – Is DG Power< Min (kw), command inverters to decrease power production
Step 4 – Repeat from step 1 Following is a simple SLD to showcase how DG PV Controller works in a solar PV system.
